Oh no!

I realized a little while ago that if I marry Alex, I'll never get to have the lovely housecat I've always wanted because he's allergic to cats! Nooooooooooooooooo . . .

I wonder if there is a workable compromise to this short of getting a hairless manx cat (ew).
